ELECTION RESULTS - 2006

I would like to thank the Ward 8 Community for their great support and putting me in the role as trustee for another term. I look forward to advocating for our children to ensure they get the best possible education available in Ontario.

• As an experienced Trustee, I am committed to ensuring your children's needs are met in our school system
   
• Living in Ward 8 for over 24 years and having young children in our schools system, I understand your children's needs
   
• I have worked with all schools in Ward 8 to make sure they are safe for our children
   
• Class sizes have been reduced from 24.5 to 20.5 students with further reductions next year
   
• Ward 8 Provincial Test results (EQAO) have increased 11% over the last 3 years to 76%, compared to the province at 65%
   
• In 2nd Term 5 Portable were removed from our schools
• This recent term, 6 Portables were removed with only 4 left at Credit Valley in Ward 8

There is much more hard work ahead.
